I am an illustrator born in Nairobi, Kenya, which is also where I am based. Although art has been a part of my life since childhood, I have been illustrating professionally for three years. I started out drawing traditionally but have recently developed a passion for digital illustration. My work involves human figures drawn with surrealistic elements that aim to tell a story.

Communication has become dependent on digital media due to the pandemic and design has played a big role in facilitating this from creating awareness on proper safety measures, to spreading positive messages to uplift our spirits.

For this particular piece, my inspiration came from the collective hope shared by people around the world looking towards the eventual end of the COVID-19 pandemic. The effects of the disease are inevitably long lasting, but we have been able to pull through the darkest of times as we anticipate a brighter future, slowly re-integrating ourselves back into society.
