Sigel Shimo'Oka

I was awarded the Silver Prize in 1973. Itʼ s my first big prize as a designer.(Space & Display of the year in Japan). I’d moved to “CDS” . CDS was established as New studio under the direction of KOUICHI NAKAI. The CDS was attached to “Tokyu enterprize group” for Soft Think tank. I was stationed
to Graphic Design field. I was awarded many Prize during 1973~77. And then, engaged with Walter LANDOR Associates.

Established Sigel Shimoʼ Oka Design office in 1980. Received numerous advertising awards in Japan, created many commercial films for TV-CF too. Thirty years has passed since that time.

1995 –Demonstrated against Shirac President regarding Nuclear Tests in Paris with Citizens. We (UG.Sato & Shimo’Oka) demonstrated by the sheets of 153 of Posters, for against Nuclear Test in Murlowa Islands. There was 3 demonstrations in that summer in Paris. And Once, the police took the suspect into custody. 1996 –U.G.Sato & Sigel Shimoʼ Oka were impressed by their Courage & Action. We have learned a lot from this Experience. And, We collected our actions into a single volume with our comrades.
